Employment of people with disabilities

To be strong and live your best life against all odds. We believe that everyone has equal rights to employment and that everyone can find their purpose and place in the labour market. We not only support people with disabilities in their professional development, but also educate employers to show them how powerful, motivated and useful such employees can be.

Our tasks

  • To increase the ability of people with disabilities to find jobs or self-employment opportunities on their own;
  • To promote the professional development of people with disabilities;
  • To promote the development of an inclusive labour market.

Our achievements

The CPLR facilitated the creation of a network of 30 employers willing to hire people with disabilities. 25 participants completed a career counselling programme, 5 of whom were successfully employed.

Case management in working with people with disabilities

Numerous international studies have already proven the benefits of following the principles of diversity and inclusion in the workforce. Such companies not only create favourable conditions for the development of their employees, which is economically beneficial, but also become strong players in the market. A professional team together with partners will help you identify blind spots in your work and become inclusive.

Our tasks

  • To facilitate the adaptation and integration of veterans into society after injuries received in the combat zone;
  • To provide psychological, legal, career and educational counselling.

Our achievements

The FPEC has engaged 20 veterans with disabilities who have completed a comprehensive case management programme. 60% of the participants received legal assistance, 30% underwent training and retraining, 20% found employment, and 10% underwent medical rehabilitation with the support of the FPEC partners.

Laboratory of labour inclusion

  • To inform Ukrainian employers about the benefits of labour inclusion;
  • To develop methods and ways to implement labour inclusion in business.

Our achievements

The FPEC held 5 workshops for Ukrainian companies on the development of inclusion and diversity policies, attended by 84 representatives of Ukrainian companies. After the awareness-raising events, one of the companies became interested in hiring people with disabilities and changed the format of interviews. In addition, a separate section on inclusiveness in the labour market was added to the Work.ua website.
