FOR EMPLOYERS

We invite employers to cooperate and implement joint projects, develop comprehensive solutions for the integration of people who have experienced traumatic events as a result of war.

Veterans’ integration into the team

Over the 8 years of our work in the field of employment of female and male veterans, we have become convinced that military experience is not an obstacle, but an important part of a professional path. However, sometimes, even though veterans quickly adapt to civilian life and return to work, certain barriers may arise at the stage of integration into the team. That is why we also share our experience with employers and hold educational events to help them communicate with veterans as part of their teams.

Programmes
Veterans’ integration programmes in the company

We are guided by an individual approach to the development of workplace reintegration programmes for veterans, based on our unique 8-year experience. We have developed a comprehensive project for the social adaptation of veterans through training, retraining and employment, which has already helped more than 6,000 veterans from all over Ukraine successfully return to peaceful life.

Therefore, we will help you develop a programme for integrating veterans into your team, taking into account the specifics and needs of the company, which may consist of the following steps:

Conduct a needs assessment

Developing customised training programmes,

Communication facilitation

Providing support and mentoring

Monitoring and evaluation of results

Special project
“On the career frontline”

Together with the Happy Monday portal, we have created a special project called “On the Career Frontline”. There, our team shares useful materials on how to transform military experience into career opportunities in civilian life, on psychological barriers that prevent veterans from finding a job, and on employer prejudice and stereotypes.

Online dialogues “Veterans & Employers”

We have created a series of videos in the format of a dialogue between veterans and employers so that you can hear the main points first-hand. What barriers do ex-military personnel face when looking for a job, what are the difficulties of integrating them into a team, and how should employers deal with them?

Manual “Military immunity in a civilian career”

How to talk about skills acquired during the war? Properly described military experience will expand professional opportunities, save time in job search, help you find your employer, strengthen competences and give you confidence. The manual “Military Immunity in a Civilian Career” will help you to work on your military experience, describe it in your CV and present it at an interview.

Employment of people
with disabilities

We are convinced that everyone has equal rights to employment, and everyone can find their purpose and place in the labour market. We not only support people with disabilities in their professional development, but also educate employers to show them how powerful, motivated and useful such employees can be.

The programme
“Free. Equal. Inclusive”

In October 2016, we launched a project to employ people with disabilities. Our aim was to increase the opportunities for people with disabilities to pursue their professional goals. Other objectives included teaching people with disabilities how to look for a job on their own, facilitating their professional definition, and increasing their competitiveness in the labour market. This project is one of the steps in breaking down long-held stereotypes about people with disabilities. Regardless of whether they have a disability or not, anyone can be a good worker, a specialist in a particular field of their choice, and can be a successful, free person!

Labour inclusion laboratory

The Labour Inclusion Lab is a project of the FPEC aimed at promoting and encouraging companies to adopt the principles of labour inclusion and respect for diversity in the labour market. In search of tools to identify blind spots for discrimination and prejudice in the team, we selected 5 companies with whom we explored the benefits of inclusion and diversity in the team, found and destroyed stereotypes. We worked with leading companies that understand the importance of promoting equality in the workplace. As a result of the project, a separate section on the Work.ua website was created on the topic of inclusion and diversity in the labour market, where our experts and experienced HR professionals shared their experience.

Gender equality at the workplace

From the very beginning of our work, we have been standing for equality in professional fulfilment. And yet, even today, we still hear about inappropriate incidents in the employment of women. To avoid this, we share important information, cases and insights with employers here. The concept of equality should exist not only in beautiful slogans, but also in practice!

The project “Awkward Interview”

Unfortunately, almost every woman has her own story about a job interview where the presence of children or a husband, appearance, and other personal things became more interesting to the employer than professional skills and experience. As part of the RIZNA project, we launched a flashmob #НеЗручнаСпівбесіда on social media to show that there are actually a lot of such stories. And most importantly, to convey the message to employers that any applicant should be selected and evaluated based on his or her professional knowledge and skills, not on the peculiarities of their personal lives.
